The pictures of the children and your story about Faustinho made me cry. I was curious as to whether Americans adopt from Mozambique? Are the children in the home where you work available for adoption or is this their permanent home? My cousin is adopting from Ethiopia and my sister from Guatemala and I was just curious.
HI New mom, It is very difficult for foreigners to adopt from Mozambique. They have to live in the country for atleast 2 years with a residents visa before they can even start the adoption process. But some missionaries have done that and adopted a child. And we have had some Mozambicans adopt children here too!

That's sad that they make it so difficult when there is obviously a need for adoptive parents.
