Anna (me!) with newborn baby Eliana.
The workers finished the new bathrooms in the girl's dorm, but left a pile of tile pieces and concrete pieces. It was such a mess. But then I walked out the door one day, and saw the girls putting to good use the tile pieces. It was so sweet I had to take a picture! Their dolls had a nice meal, I am sure.
We planted bean seeds in a jar stuffed with wet paper towels. This was just 5 days later! The beans grew so fast. We had planted beans in the garden, and I wanted to show them how God made seeds to grow, and what was going on with those seeds under the ground. Great science experiment. They loved watching the seeds pop open and grow roots and a bean sprout.
The thermometer hasn't gone below 100 for weeks. I think we need some rain! It's HOT these days!
God is awesome. This week for our missionaries home group we watched a video called "Indescribable" by Louis Giglio (Not sure if that is spelled right). He goes into great detail about the universe, the solar system, stars, sun, world---this amazing place we live in. God is SO Big, we haven't even a clue. If you can get this video, do! It's been a long and tiring week, but in the midst of that, to remember :
"Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name...Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary, and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Isaiah 40:26, 28-31
He NAMES the stars?! That's incredible. He created the heavens beyond what we can see or know. He keeps it all in motion. He has named each star in thy sky. And yet, He has counted the hairs on your head. And He knows your name. He is not too busy for you. You are the one He thinks about all the time. He has chosen you. He lifts you up with his righteous right hand. If God (who made all these things, and is beyond imagination powerful) is for you, WHO can be against you?! What promises we have in Jesus! You and me--Children of the Living King of Kings!

that is such a cute picture of the little girls and their dolls. A great reminder that children are children no matter where they live. Sometimes, it's easy for Americans to forget that they are just like our sons and daughters. They love to play with dolls and use their imagination.
BTW, how is Tino?
